What is Entertaiment?
What does Entertaiment mean?
Entertaiment is an activity that gives pleasure and enjoyment, such as watching films or TV shows, listening to music, playing musical instruments, reading novels, magazines or short stories, playing sports or games, and visiting art galleries or museums. It also includes attending dance, theater or comedy performances, and creating or appreciating visual arts.
The word entertainment derives from the Latin inter tenere, based on the prefix inter meaning “inside” and the suffix tenere, related to the Indo-European root ten, which means to stretch or expand. The SU2C model is an example of how entertainment can contribute to our societal needs by raising funds and awareness for cancer research.
