Entertaiment

Entertaiment — the fall 2011 issue of T E News, an abridged version of Transformational Entertainment News—was not easy to write. Its subject matter is voluminous, complex, and highly partisan: what might be considered art by one person may be dismissed as mere entertainment by another. And the familiar forms that have emerged in this realm have demonstrated a seemingly unlimited capacity for creative remix.

These examples are programmatically compiled from various online sources to illustrate current usage of the word ‘entertainment.’ Send us feedback.

From Old French entretenement; see entertain. Entertainers have the power to make people forget all their troubles and wish that this moment would never end.
